THIS IS A TALE

Of how I moved my entire professional life, household and three pets from a small Northern California town to West Los Angeles. The transition made sense on multiple levels. My husband and I thrive on big city living. We crave a vibrant nightlife, the beach, and the diversity and splendor of a big town. Persian food, burritos, kosher and vegan fare-- we can't get our fill. After practicing law in a small town for seven years I am up for the challenge of a larger legal stage. My husband, a very talented journalist will do well in this media savvy town. A few months ago we started looking at LA in a different way. My husband and I have the same experience of being born and raised in LA, but also having fled to Northern California in our early twenties. When my late father-in-law's health began to decline we drove down south more often. We also started to take in more of LA, and could almost envision a life here. After many discussions with Husband's brother and sisters we settled upon the idea of sharing a household with my eighty-plus mother-in-law whom we call Jack.
